It is important for you to know that women gain weight during their pregnancy. But this is a normal and healthy part of pregnancy. so you don’t have to worry about it. Pregnancy weight gain can not be termed as Obesity. Even this is critical for your baby’s health when you gain the appropriate amount of weight during pregnancy.
Many women want to know the ideal weight during the pregnancy. I’m telling you that there is no certain answer. It is different between one woman to another. Your total range weight gain is about 15 to 40 pounds. It depends on your weight before you became pregnant.
If you were normal weight before getting pregnant you probably gain between 25 and 35 pounds throughout your pregnancy. But if you were underweight, then you will need to gain more weight, between 28 and 40 pounds during the pregnancy. And if you were very heavy, you should gain 15 to 25 pounds.
As a reminder that if you are carrying multiples (twins or more), you will gain even more weight, about 45 pounds or even more, depending on how many the babies you are carrying.
When you become pregnant it is important that you avoid dieting. This is not the time to diet or losing your weight, no matter how heavy you are. Your steady weight gain is a sign that your baby is growing. So, it is vital that you eat healthily during your pregnancy, not diet. A healthy diet that is composed of food from each of the four food groups will help ensure that you gain the right amount of weight during your pregnancy, making it easier to shed pounds after you give birth.
